Default Event at Lowes Motor Speedway 8/23&24

Just as always, I find these things out too late.

I may show up to check it out though.

Cool... That will give me something to do tomorrow.

I was thinking of doing the hyperdrive but i read somewhere
that the stock hoops are not allowed at the speedway.. only scca
cages. I wonder if it hs the same for this event.

I went there and oh surprise... I needed a 4 point roll bar to get on the track... no big loss. I got to ride shotgun in a corvette. Dang!!! 140 MPH two feet from the wall really gets your adrenaline pumping.

Didn't see any other Ss. Lots of replica Shelbys though.

Hey, do you guys in the Charlotte area always need roll bars to autocross? Are there any places close by that you don't need them? Also, can you autocross with the top down?

For AutoX, no rollbar is required unless you have an aftermarket harness (4, 5 or 6 point). Windows are required to be down, but the top can be open or closed. For track days, each one has its own rules, so it's best to call ahead and find out if the stock hoops are acceptable.
