FALL MCDRAGON!
Not that this is an "organized" event,
but maybe we should take a count of who is eating at the lodge and/or if we want to make a reservation for a group dinner elsewhere one night. We could also have a campfire cookout too.... Just a thought...

Remember our last 'eat out', this past McDragon...the BBQ place
!!! Poor rookie waitress
.
We might be better off staying on premises for our morning and evening meals...that would certainly be more convenient...plus for those partaking of the spirits of the vine...safer too!

Woke up with a flat tire yesterday, and went to have it fixed. The tire guy asked me if I'd been "burning rubber in that car", as I had some pretty weird wear from a couple of track days.
(Rears were totally slick in the center, but still some tread on the edges)
Anyway...had to go ahead and get new ones before McDragon!

Ron and I plan to eat at the lodge Saturday night. Since they don't serve dinner on Sunday, that may be the night to check out the local Mexican restaurant in Robbinsville.
Or...we could always go have dinner at the Blue Waters Lodge Sunday night.

Here's my take on things (I know you've all been waiting for this).
Friday night we should eat at the Iron Horse so we can engage in a night drive on the Dragon.
Breakfast at the Iron Horse Saturday morning.
Dinner Saturday at the Blue Water Lodge. No need for a night drive since we've been driving all day. Although, the die hards may still want to do that.
Breakfast Sunday might be a problem. It looks like the Iron Horse doesn't serve on Sunday. We'll have to scout for a place.
Kalan, as much as I'd like to do a camp fire dinner, I must admit I'm not up for all the prep and cleanup. However, if you want to take responsibility, I'll eat everything you cook!

Sheila,
We need an OFFICIAL call on this.
You're the meet......I mean the "Event" organizer.

However, as I AM a big fan of eating, I called Iron Horse, and found out they DO serve breakfast every day (including Monday), so no worries there, and they can extend dinner to Sunday night for us if 6-8+ people want to. We can just take a poll of those staying over Sunday on Saturday and see who/how many want to eat at the lodge Sunday night.
As for the rest of the weekend, I've already given them a dinner reservation for Ron and I for Saturday night (sadly, we won't be there Friday night), but everyone's welcome to eat wherever they'd like.
I'd suggest making a dinner res at the lodge Friday night, and if you don't like it for any reason, we can always cancel the lodge dinner for Saturday night and go into Robbinsville. Otherwise, I'm game for the lodge all weekend (including Sunday) if the food's good! (No long drives, no changing clothes, etc.) But I'll admit, I AM a bit lazy!
Then again, we always get Huskergirl to make us some campfire beans-n-franks.
Anna and I are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!
