I hope to leave G'ville by about 8am. I'm seriously considering driving up on the Victoracers, as I've been running around on them since the BMW autocross. I might drag the trailer up with my street tires just in case I cord one. The overnight temps of 27 degrees are my only real concern aside from potential cording.

I hate you. I'm going to have to get dirty changing tires tonight. Thanks for the heads up though and for bringing spare tires for me.

Or... you could drag your Victo's up on the trailer and then I don't have to bother trailering my street tires, as we'll have yours as the spares!

Nah, I've got pretty fresh Victo's. They've got plenty of rubber on them, so I'm not worried about cording. Besides, I've got the longer haul. You trailer, FTW!

EDIT - I will bring my spare if you want to avoid trailering. Then if you cord a pair of rears, you can put the fronts out back and run the fat'n'skinnies back home.

It's worth trailering the street tires for me -- but is it worth swapping to the street tires for the drive up... hmm...

Nah. The interstate may kill a heat cycle or two but I don't think it'll eat enough rubber to justify the swap.

Your input confirms what my laziness had already decided.

Anyone want to meet up at Atlanta Bread Company in Ashville I-40 exit 50. at 11:30 for lunch and then take the Blue Ridge to Cherokee, then on into Fontana Village?
