So I called Leith today and spoke with their SM, Chuck Prier. Apparently Honda is willing to cover half of the repairs at warranty cost...whatever that means. Still have yet to hear back a number. Might just be slapping a patch on it at this rate.

for the time being, this works great and is almost an exact match to the fabric...let's just hope it holds:

I really recommend the jbweld trick. I've used it on the canvas tops of 2-1/2 ton military trucks quite a bit. if you mix in some black RIT dye it will match perfect. Just barely do the outside if you do it at all. Inside is where you seal and fortify the hole so it doesn't grow. It will outlast the top.

You got yours covered under standard warranty though, right?

Thanks to Steve (scramblerman) for allowing me to inspect his top! As a result I found out that the elastic straps are worn out that pull the bar back and that's why the bar was causing the damage. Maybe a trip back up to Leith is in order...

nm, new straps are $20
