fyi, you don't have to removed the leather wrap around the center console. I did that on accident not paying attention when I broke my clips.

What do you mean?

I can just take the cover and stick it on top and tuck it up under?

I kinda wondered that since those little snaps don't really wanna come out.

Took the door panel off to test it out.
Seems easy enough.
I thought I would try to remove the leathe layer but it's stitched in.

I'll prob be better off just gluing the albcantaara over that.
The thing that worries me is the little piping along the top edge.

I was talking about when you remove the plastic parts of the center console, the leather stays in the car. no need to remove it. I can post some pictures when I get home tomorrow but I don't have any here at work.

So I took some of the stuff off today to see how hard it would be.

Shift boot. Easy enough now that I've cut the plastic rivets.

Is the elbow pad gonna stay in place if I have to cut the rivets to get it off?
It seems like the clips would hold it in place on the console but I wasn't sure.

Anyone do this in a ap1?

I looked at the install instructions on ricks and I think I know what you're talking about.
I guess I would just be laying the new fabric on top of the old one and just tucking it in around the bottom right?

I just realized you have an ap1. I don't think that they have the leather wrap I'm talking about.

All you have to do is use small tapping screws and screw the elbow pad back in. It's not hard at all. All the interior pieces are easy to remove and reinstall. If you ordered them from JPM then they should come ready to go into the car. The door cards just screw back into the door panel and then install the panel.
