The boot was recalled due to the fact that it was pinching the seatbelts. If you contact a Honda dealer, they will more than likely be able to replace your boot without problems.

 

I have not used the boot since I got the one under recall two years ago. It's not only the nuisance to put it on and take it off. The darn thing takes up a lot of trunk space too. I always carry my car cover and that doesn't leave a lot of room in the trunk.
