Default comvertible boot

I am in the market for an S and have heard some complaints about the convertible boot. Everyone complains about it, but doesn't say what it is they don't like. What is it exactly that is such a PITA? How does it go on?

there are a few buttons which pop it. It a pain in the butt to put on, and the put end pops out at high speeds

I think the boot is great. It gives a much cleaner look. I have had the car over 120 mph and the boot stayed in place. It take about 3 to 4 min. to put on and less to take off.

The boot starts out stiff and hard to install, but gets easier after a few uses...just remember to take it off before you try to put the top up!

I agree with the last poster. Just for the heck of it, I timed myself yesterday and it took about 45 seconds to put on and I wasn't even hurrying. It's just a matter of learning how to do it.

I'll use it if its going to be on all day, or else I won't bother. I've never had a problem with the back coming loose, just make sure its on right and 'pat' it down to make sure its seated right. The only problem I've had is when taking it off, the snaps sometimes freeze up, and when that happens, it can take a few minutes to get it unstuck. I don't know if that is a common problem. I should try putting a little graphite powder or something in them....

It looks great in place, but I worry about scratching the paint putting it on by myself.
