I'm still laughing about the guy that made a comment about my car in downtown Orlando. Chad and I were driving around after the Tampa Super Meet and we overheard a guy look at us and then say "rich boys". I just wanted to be like "Dude, seriously? My car is worth 10 grand, maybe."

I had a guy once ask me if it was a Boxster...LOL

One thing I HATE with a passion is when older woman comment on the car and says "Its so cute"!! NOTHING is worse than calling a mans sports car "CUTE" LOL

My wifes friend called my car cute once. I took her for a ride on a back road, did three donuts, and then she said wow.

I was surprised the first person that commented on my car was an older woman in her 60's, and she said "Excuse me, is that a Honda?" yes "It looks really nice!"

I've had people mistake it for a Z4 before, but luckily not a Miata. I would probably facepalm right in front of them and continue with my business if that happened . Though at a stop light one time I had a fellow in a minivan ask what kind of car I had. I responded "its a Honda S2000". He then replies "oh a Honda 2000?". Me, "S2000". Him, "oh ok a honda 2000 type S".

I got my first, "Is that a Miata" not too long ago, from a couple girls.... Actually kinda pissed me off cause it was followed by "...Miatas are chick cars." The only response i could mumble was, "It's too sexy to be a Miata."

Ha, love it. I have so many older people, like gentleman in their late 50s and 60s that compliment my car. I always feel good because I know they grew up drooling over american muscle, and it's a big compliment to me if they like it.

And yea, we all get the Miata thing, some people are just car illiterate.
