Default My S2000 Broke Down

My new S2000 broke down today at 771 miles. I have no clue as to the problem, but symptoms are as follows:

Shift into first gear to move the car, slow release the clutch, push on the pedel, RPM goes to 8000... car is not even moving! It is as though you are still in neutral. Car is moving VERY slowly on straight paths.. going up hill.. car stops.

Anyways, there goes my trust in Honda (sports) reliability.

Well, its at Leith now for a inspection and repair. I wonder what the problem is.

Sorry to hear that... but don't let it ruin all hondas for you... maybe it's just some mistake and you can get a whole new one! You're lucky to even have a s2000, I wish I... had one... lol

Sounds to me like your clutch is fried. Wonder why at just 771 miles though.

definitely clutch..... man what have you been doing bro?? You must of been riding that clutch pretty hard through every gear to fry it so quickly.

I am very sorry to hear this...keep your fingers crossed. Maybe they sold you a lemon 700 miles of riding the clutch through every gear......well anything is possible. Where did you buy Leith or Autopark??? Hopefully Honda will absorb most of the damage so less outta pocket for you.
keep us posted.

Got it at Leith. I did push the clutch a little harder than I should have, but I didn't do it everytime I got out on the road. I VTEC every day, but thats with the clutch pedal fully released, and not slipping. Really beats me why my clutch gave up that early.

Anyways, we'll see tomorrow what the deal is. Have a good night.
