Default Need Honda bodyshop suggestion/advice

Did the curb thing with lower front bumper...stock 03..silverstone metallic. Damage not real bad. Have read many posts on the subject and most say cost is about $150 to fix by dealer.

My dealer (flow honda - winston-salem NC) body shop wants $600, remove the entire bumper, repaint all, plus match colors,etc...

Rip OFF.

Need advise on what to ask them to do for the $150 price and suggestions on prehaps another body shop more interested in their customers.

Thanks!

called my sales guy at flow honda, Charlie Woodrum...very helpful. He gave me a contact I am going to see at lunch today.

In talking to his contact he said the body shops for Honda only want to deal with entire parts normall thus the extra costs. Has this been others findings in dealing with NC Honda body shops? Just curious.

thanks

Here are some blurry pictures of the damage:

I don't have advice on a bodyshop but have you thought about covering it up with a front spoiler? Get an OEM lip from hardtopguy and you've hidden the damage and improved the car's looks.

If you don't mind the drive, Import Paint and Body in Charlotte has a great reputation with several of our owners. I'm taking mine in on 12/2 for a deep scratch repair.

They're also hosting our S2000 Zaino clinic on 12/6. These guys have been awesome!

This option would probably work for you. But with the OEM front spoiler the front clearance is even less.

I looked a little on the "FOR SALE" forum for a Silverstone front bumper but didn't find much. If you get this repaired back to stock like you currently have then I highly recommend getting a front lip protector from Coastal Metals. It costs about $79 I think. Very simple installation and it has saved me a couple of times when I tried to take on a parking curb

That shouldnt cost any more than $150 because its only on the lower side. most guys get 100 a panel and 50 a panel to blend. Since your blending would be on the lower half of your cover, then you wont have to have the hood or fenders blended on. In english! Paint the lower half and blend on to the upper half. That is very very minor damage. GOOD LUCK
