Smile Plastic rear window FTL...

So, basically my top is around 8 years old, I have a AP1 MY00. I understand that it is aged. But, 2nite with it being kinda chilly I was going to enjoy the long awaited cold weather and ride around with my top dropped. I dropped it and heard a big CRACK sound. Put it back up and my plastic rear window was broken open from side to side!!!!!!!!! Like I said I understand my top is 8 years old. But, I should'nt be limited by season to put my top down. Obviously I want to upgrade to a glass top now but I have no freakin money!!!!!!!!!! I hate money right now. So yeah, this thread is nothing more than me venting so just don't mind me.

well right now for overnight i have BROWN packing tape on it haha. I won't be driving with this obviously, luckly I don't work till 4pm 2marro so gives me time to run out and get some clear packing tape. I'll get in touch with YELLOWJACKET when I get money. Also, would he be able to help me if I got a glass top and needed the defrost wired in as well?

Sorry that sucks . Just for everyone else in the winter I always put it a little more then half way down and stop get out and make sure it is folding without any creases in it. I just give it a few lite taps and then put it the rest of the way down.

That sucks for sure. Sorry to hear. These sort of things never come at the right moment, money-wise. I've always heard about this happening...at least you got 8 good years out of it.

Thats what I'm considering! Like just replacing the rear window. And saving for one. How much did you get yours for?
