I thought that you got a star for being a member and then additional stars for your number of years. Gold is gold membership and red is basic membership.
Thus Airgate has three because his date is 2 years X number
of days + one for membership = 3. I have only 2 because Airgate is older than I.
Timber has one because he is a member but has not been registered on the forum for an entire year yet.
