I have pretty much always had convertibles and this is the 1st time this has happened. I have always been afraid of someone cutting the top and will not even leave my cd's in the front. I am just glad they could not get in the trunk. They did leave 11 cents I had on the floor and my phone charger. :} I just have to look at it as the top probably had another year or 2 on it and maybe I can get the glass one with the defroster now. And I will be looking into alarms!!!

Wow this is a real downer, I feel so bad for you and your car. I worry about this type of thing happening to my car all the time. It's the draw back on convertibles they make it so easy for someone to get into the car and steal parts.

The only way to prevent this would be to have a alarm with a proximity sensor and a video camera that could send the pictures of your car back to your car alarm pager so you could tell if it was a real threat or just a false alarm. If some company has something like that at a reasonable price I'd buy it.
