If you opt for the South Carolina side, gas is cheaper due to the tax difference.

Please come to Mooresville! I just moved here from SoCal and I really don't know anybody yet.

For apartments and houses to rent, check on Zillow.com. That's how my fiance and I found the place we're living in now. Be conscious of the curbs. If your car is lowered too much, it won't be able to get up most driveways around here...

^Doug, Will, Stephen, Kevin, one of the Matt's, and a few others all live close to you. Maybe you should organize a dinner meet in your area to meet some of us!

I'm one of the matt's and I'm in Huntersville. There are a bunch of us up here, I see several who I don't think are on here, but we haven't really done anything too organized other than trying to keep InsaneSP from turning his car into a rocketship.

I've been in the Charlotte area for 2 years now, and when we first came down we couldnt decide if we should live up north or down south. But all of the options mentioned are very good. They're al a little different, but all good options. Plenty of good options in the Ballantyne area so you might not have to drive far at all.
