Hey guys, The wife and i have been very interested in living down in n.carolina and have talked about moving down there for the past couple years. N.Y taxes are terrible and we love it down there having visited several times in the past. She works at the V.A. up here and would most likely transfer to the V.A. in salisbury. im not sure if i like the salisbury area but havent visited that area yet so i really cant say bad things. I want to live near the Huntersville, Mooresville, lake norman area which is a hike for a daily commute to salisbury. I am an tech at the local hyundai dealer but have a lot of background in hondas too, so id try to find a job at a local dealer. So i was wondering if anyone could give me any input on a place near salisbury that s nice or any other recommendations. she has heard horror stories of people moving down there from up here and being harassed pretty bad and decided to move back. Thanks

 

Not much experience there other then lake norman since I am based in Winston-Salem. It is beautiful here though you have great mountains with twisty roads to the west and a wonderful beach to the east. If you have the available funds look into getting a place on lake norman it is a great place!
