Personally that's what I would try and do... But if an estimator from the insurance company has already come out to see it, it may be too late. If not, I'd take it off ASAP before one comes out. I doubt they will allow it to add as much value to the car as its actually worth if you sold it.

No adjuster has seen it yet. I will call the body shop tomorrow and have them take it off and store it for me.

Well, today I heard from the adjuster. They are not totaling the car, which is good. Insurance is paying for the damage and the paint for the back, then I'm paying out of pocket to have the rest of the car painted so that it looks like a brand new car again. I don't think I'll be losing too much value since this shop is the absolute best there is on the east coast. They also valued the car (without the hard top) at $18,500. Not bad, I say. Not bad.

We're probably going to put the OEM rear spoiler on instead of the OEM wing that was on there. I'm also most likely going with a CR front as well.

Hopefully within a couple weeks I'll have my silver bullet back! So it can stay in the garage and never get driven so the paint stays perfect. LMAO!

LOL... So you'll leave it in the garage and never drive it now... AKA nothing has changed!

Glad it seems to be working out.
