Did you replace the metal piece that holds the weather stripping in when you put on your cooling plate?

I'm ambivalent now as to put it on or not - I think it looks better without, but I wonder about the sealing now.

I believe the install instructions from Gary's Import Tuning says to leave it out.....
so I did. I just think the hole for the hood closure needs to be a bit larger....
