No glue = easy top to install. It's a one day job if you want it to be.
yeah, just don't start it at 7:30pm and not have everything you need to complete it (doh!)

Took me about 10 hrs. I think I could do it in about 4 the next time if I had a second handy man.

Done about 4 or 5. takes me about 6hrs by myself. nice job documenting your steps on here. for those who need a top, it's a eye opener.

Thanks, now granted there is a whole lot more involved than what is posted, those were just some of the bigger steps that I took pics of. Thinking back now, I should've taken step by step pics of actually taking the cloth off. Oh well, its fairly self explanatory (I do have a FSM to help me cheat a little)

So what are you gonna do to prevent the holes from occurring again? I wrapped some black socks around the joint that creates the holes so that its a big padded surface pressing against a larger portion of the top instead of a thin exposed metal section concentrated in a small area.

fyi... get your top replaced before your warranty expires. honda dealers would replace if you have a hole. they would do it reluctantly but they will do it.

mmm... just did this job myself in March... it sucked and like you, i dont care to do it again. what made things worse is that after i cut off the old top, i opened the box for the new one..........and....it was the wrong top!!! the box was labeled correctly but they (robbins) had put the wrong top in the right box. man, was i pissed. total about 13 hours of labor over two weekends.

So where do you guys recommend purchasing a top from?

This site has a Robbins with glass for 575 http://www.convertibletops.com/Foreign/Honda

Or someone recommended topsonline.com--but their Robbins tops don't line up with what Robbins has on their site--they have a denim top for 650 and a cloth top for 810. Thoughts?
