How's everyone holdin up??

Other than the few power spikes from time to time I'm one of the lucky few with power at the house. It's pretty bad around Raleigh, I think 400,000 without power. The roads are pretty clear until it freezes up again tonight...

I'm actually at the office now....no power either (stupid backup generators). All I have to keep me company is s2ki and aol instant messenger. I should of brought a flashlight and some wood to start a fire it's freezin in here

Dunno how I'll get home tonight when my shift ends at 3am....guess I'll call a cab *sigh* at least the S is safe and nice and warm in the garage....

Ok my eyes are starting to hurt now cuz all we have for light is the soft glow from our shitty nokia 15 inch monitors..... i wanna go home!

Hope everyone is staying warm....and please drive safe if your out there amongst the crazies...

I've talked with quite a few people today who have been impacted by the ice. No power tonight and no heat! Wilmington was spared freezing temps last night and enjoyed moderate temps today.

Yeah it hit me pretty bad! I just got my power on a couple hours ago so I pretty much slept in a frozen house for a couple days. There is also a large tree branch sticking through my roof. My pour S2K was also frozen this morning.

I feel lucky. We lost power for about 3 hours late Wed. night and have not lost it again. I found out our house is on the same circuit has a nursing home in the next neighborhood. Gotta love that!

I feel sorry for you guys that got stuck in the cold and dark. If anyone needs to be entertained, I will be watching football all day on Sunday... (hopefully the ice did not damage the dish)

You provide the <cold> beer, I will provide heat and TV.

It is amazing how much damage those ice storms can do. It sure is no fun being w/o power for as long as you people.

They finally restored our power today!!!!

We give thanks to our natural gas fireplace and a 10,000 watt generator!
