Dang I wish I could have made this work. But see you all up there in September, if not before. Intterested to see a first-hand report on the LEO activity....

Be safe and have a blast.

Cracker Barrel FTW!!!

Katie - Sorry to hear about the S...but at least you'll still be in a Honda. And as Garrett shared, there will always be plenty of used S2000s out there...so when you're ready to come back...

Oh...and know that you are ALWAYS welcome to any of the S2000 gatherings and events and so on...(just don't hold us up).

Sheila - great job posting who's coming and so on...folks, if you can't make it in time, please give Sheila a call (or me too... 252.349.9680)

I'm in Charleston now...and while this is a nice city and all...I miss Charlotte and I'm longing for the weekend.

Cyclon (sp) posted his report on the LEO activity on 129, and apparently its covered with cops in the afternoon at least - looks like we may need to make use of NC's other mountain roads after we stroll up the Dragon and back.

I'd recommend this also, having read all the info. out there on tailofthedragon.com and other reports.

I spent some time with my motorcycle buddies before my last trip up to the dragon and found some great roads. If you've never done Hwy 215 from Hwy 276 down to Rosman, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Obviously, 276 is also a good one, though you'll find a bit more traffic there than on 215. I'm also told (though I haven't been there) that the ~4 mile section of 151 is worth the trip up the parkway to. Supposedly pretty big elevations and tight curves.

I'm still hopeful that I'll be able to make it up Saturday for the day to hang out, but we'll see.

Y'all have fun and drive safe!

I'm officially....IN !

I may not be as mobile, but WTH!

I'll try to meet you guys somewhere around the I-40/321 area. If you leave Cracker Barrel around 8:30, then about how long does it take you to reach I-40??

I've got to do some last minute tinkering with the car, so I probably won't be able to hit the road until Friday morning.
