I read somewhere before, but I forgot......how soon/often should one adjust their valves.
Valves shouldn't need adjusting until 30k miles or more. However, Some owners have needed adjustments prior to 30k. We'll take a look (listen) at your car and make the call then.
If it ain't broke, don't adjust it.

Great! Are you gonna adjust your valves or watch? You really don't need any parts to do the adjustment. Replacing the valve cover gasket is optional.
I should be doing the Valve Adjustment......I'm hoping the parts will be in today.
We started at 9:00 sharp on my car. VFROOOOM and HOTRODS2000 were on hand to help. Things went a little slow at first as we disassembled things from the valve cover and learned the short cuts to getting the valve cover off. We found that ALL of my valves were out of spec. Too tight!
We had to adjust every stinking one of those suckers and the adjustment process proved to be somewhat tedious. We found that closing the gap with the next size larger feeler gauge, tightening the nut and then torquing it put the opening at the desired clearance...most of the time. You really have to develop a "feel" for doing the adjustment.
After adjusting all of the exhaust valves, the pizza dudette showed up and we took a much deserved break. Leaning over the engine bay for hours takes a toll on the lower back and the backs of your legs. After feasting on the Domino's Extravaganza we tackled the intake valves.
Four hours after starting we finally had my baby back together with NO left over parts and fired her up. Fortunately no piston rods or valves came flying up through the hood.
She ran like a top!
Then we tackled VFROOOOM's car. Having gone up the learning curve on my car and only having to adjust 8 or so valves made this a two hour job.
I really wish you guys could have been here. This was a TREMENDOUS learning experience.
A special THANK YOU to Rod and Richard for making this a super day.
