Default Track Video

Some folks have expressed interest in this video from Roebling Road. It was a very wet track day on 10/24. The camera is mounted to the front tow hook and the data overlay comes from my RaceTechnology DL1 datalogger and a piece of software called trackvision. The google video quality is pretty crappy, but you get the idea...

I felt like I was watching a Gran Turismo replay. Looked like a blast though.

Nice, Bryan. But I find the 1g hard to believe on such a wet track! Nice shot of the Berlina getting loose in front of you.

Yea, that was me on my Victoracers (basically slicks). There was a lot of slipping and sliding that day. I actually never fully lost it though I had several close calls. Some of the "getting loose events" were so violent that I actually wrenched my back. I had a set of S02s but knew from a wet experience at Summit Point that they are not too good in the wet either. The S02s tend to lack front grip in the wet where the Victoracers tend to break loose at the rear. Braking was good though I didn't push it as I did not trust that to hold all the time. There is nothing like hydroplaning at 110 plus MPH to create some serious pucker action. It was a fun day albeit a wet one. I look forward to retuning to Roebling in the dry.

I spun once coming out of 5 and went off once at the entry to 5, but I was pushing too hard both times.

Marty, I believe the G numbers are in the ballpark. I was running new, full-tread R888's and had a fair amount of wing dialed in. The car was very stable.

In that case, very nice!
