Default Update on new clutch-plate

I just got my S2K back from Rock Hill Honda where they installed the re-designed clutch plate and I couldn't be happier. That tinney "heat shield coming loose" sound when you decelerate below 3k in lower gears is gone! I didn't realize how loud it was until it wasn't there!

The service department got the part and installed it with no muss/no fuss. I would certainly recommend this be done if you are experiencing this noise. The Service Bulletin is 00--54 and can be found in this site.

Call Danny, the Service Manager, at 803-366-8161 and he will order the part and install it for you. He has one mechanic, Mark, that does all the work on S2K's and is really first rate.

Let me know if you need further information.

According the service bulletin, this is the second revision of the clutch plate. I hope you're wrong. I'll keep you advised.

Somewhere on this board, I saw a post that had the revisions of the part #s for this fix, and the latest part # was equal to the 2002 part #.
