V-afc?
as previously stated, go with an EMS. I went with the V-AFC at first and it just couldn't tune as well as I needed. If you plan on upping the boost ever, it's just not going to get the job done effectively.
I'm currently running an AEM EMS and it is 100000.4 times better than the V-AFC.
As far as VTEC engagement, I've had the best power curve with mine kicking in at 4.7. We did A LOT of playing around with VTEC as I went with different SC pulleys. The results varied with each pulley. My stock pulley did the best with me just leaving it alone. Don't know if that really helps you any. As a matter of fact, I had it set at 5.8 with the other pulleys, but now that I'm running 11lbs of boost, it seems to do the best at 4.7.
Another good part about the AEM EMS is that you can get tell it to stay at 12.2/12.3 A/F when you're on the throttle. I'll let you run my car as many times as you'd like, and you'll never get it below 12.2 or above 12.3 when you're getting on it. That alone is worth it if you're running boost. If you go over 12.3, you're very succeptible (sp?) to knock.
