FS: 2005 Berlina/Black 15K miles
All,
I've decided I need a car with (at least a small) backseat... and so I've decided to move on from the S. I have approximately 4 months left on my lease, so keeping it is entirely acceptable, but our baby is due in 8 weeks - so my thoughts are car shopping may be easier now.
The Car:
2005 Berlina Black / Black interior
<15K miles
First Owner
Mobile 1 after first oil change, q5000 miles (due for another one soon)
All Zaino products used (always hand washed), and "303" applied to the top every other wash
No accidents
2 Autocross events / no driver events
Will include the 15K service
The sale: Im looking to sell the car for my Honda Finance buyout amount. I will disclose that amount if anyone is serious, but it is somewhere close to $22K + taxes etc. Im not looking to make even 1$, just seeing if anyone is interested in picking up a low mile S.
Full Disclosure: I have never valeted the car, but it received its share of small dings from the parking lot. Only one is down to the paint - and will need some touch up. Honestly, it is very minor. The only other issue is tires - they will need replacement soon especially if you plan to track the car at all.
If interested: please shoot me a PM. Really just trying to gauge interest at this point. There is really no point in me selling the car under my buyout, so negotiation is limited. Thanks.

Good question - when I called Honda, at first they just said I owed them $xxx. Then someone else, later said I'd need to pay Texas state tax to have the title released. I thought that was part of my lease payments though... so Im not sure exactly how it will play out. I suppose it also depends on if the buyer is out of state etc...
Anyway, I was just trying to gauge interest. Believe it or not, a local dealer is offering me a pretty sweet deal to trade it in, so I may just go that way if no one from S2ki wants it.

In most states title can only pass from the lease bank to the lessee (that is you) or a licensed car dealer - not to a 3rd party. So you have to, in effect, buy the car and then resell it to move it to a 3rd party. That usually results in a double tax that makes the deal not that good. Some states (CA, I think) allow you to claim a tax refund if you resell the car with xx days of purchasing it.
