Alex got banned??

Geez...can't people stay out of trouble for just a few days while I go on a trip?!
Unfortunately, I've been out of the loop a little bit on this trip, because time for being online has not been plentiful, but I HAVE seen the pics in question.
My take is that the pics DID push the rules, but that the crackdown is as much personal as it is about violating board rules.
That said, Alex has known for ages that he pushes rules and he's been unpopular with some of the mods.

You know they always blame Alex for anything he says...not matter what...they have been very negative towards him, they let people attack him but yet when he attacks... they get all pissy about it..

Alex and several others are definitely on the mod
list and they are scrutinized more than others are. That said, most of the people on said
list are scrutinized for a reason...because something about the nature of their posting style is considered to be either more inflamatory or more likely to push the boundaries of what the management considers appropriate...and therefore potentially encourage others to do the same.My problem is that I think that the enforcing of the rules is at least somewhat biased. I don't think that we (mods) have done a very good job of uniformly enforcing our interpretations of propriety.
I saw the pics.. They DID push the line, and they were inevitably going to be deleted, but that's not the point. Deleting a post is one thing, banning someone for borderline material is another. As Alex said, not to name names, but if posting pics of half naked girls gets people banned, then lots of people should have been banned by now.

that's hideous
