I'll blame the power washer. Anytime you have any gizmo using compressed air, there's those little rumbles and hiccups. So, if you try to keep the wand of the power washer steady through those rumbles, hiccups and all that backpressure, you actually can work your forearms and wrists pretty well.
except for the compressed air part. My washer is operated by a positive displacement reciprocating piston pump.
