Sorry I didn't answer this sooner. . .

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Will the 70-200 lens get me the kind of shots I want?

2. Will the 70-200 lens be used often enough to justify $1500? Moreover, when do you plan on upgrading the rest of your camera, and if so, will that lens still be compatible? You don't want a $1500 paper weight.

3. Is there a cheaper route the intended result I desire?

4. What else could I be getting with $1500?

Answer those 4, and let me know what happens.
