I'm no oral surgeon, but based on stories I've heard, it can vary wildly.

It took me 1 day; really mostly to get over the anesthetic. Other stories have it stretched out over weeks.

However, DO follow the cleaning directions after your surgery VERY judiciously: it'll save you time, pain and prevent complications.
