Unkie, have you ever wanted to somehow "repay" someone or some institution (etc.) for helping you during a rough time? And if so, did you? And if you did, what did you do? Or is that too personal for the interweb? Oh and, is that too many questions for one post?

The few times I've been in this situation, about all I could do was speak well of the place and refer people to it.

However, for things that I believe in, they get my tax-deductible donations when I'm feeling generous and/or flush.
