Unkie Trunkie,

Do you believe in living together before marriage?
I believe in dating until you die. . .

That said, let me tell you a story about my job:

We sell really complicated digital storage systems. They're pretty simple on the surface, but what makes them simple are millions of man-hours of engineering and verification (testing).

We hire whole armies to find out ways to sell this stuff to markets that don't think they need them. However, we tell a good story, and in fact show proof of very high return on investment (ROI for you business nerds). We will demonstrate to the customer for weeks on end. Sometimes our sales cycles are very long, while others are simply ongoing dialogues with our customers.

We have people available 24/7 to help debug and solve any issue the customer might have. Moreover, the systems themselves will "Phone Home" relevant information to us if need be. . .

DESPITE ALL OF THIS EFFORT. . . many of our best customers will not deploy these systems blindly, but rather, test it out for A FULL YEAR before signing the purchase req.

Oh, and despite my saying that I believe in dating until you die, the fact is, my chances of getting married are still high; as it seems there are whole gaggles of geese demanding such things. . . and eventually, the demands will just hit critical mass. . . my only hope is that the ratio of persons demanding to me is about 1,000:1. . .

. . . I like to think along the lines of a suicide bomber if I'm going to think about marriage.

Not bad. However, I would not mention the names of the products explicitly unless the vendors of said products are compensating you for mentioning them.

Simply tell the customers that brands of products are available upon request. . . or for that matter, if they have a preferred product, offer that up as a surcharge.

Rotas = excellent good enough.

Who gives a rat's ass about the shift knob?

I want a lighter one that's roughly the same size and shape as the stock knob

...or maybe it's just the right blend of shiny, titanium and JDM
