INTJ flipped it, and summarily ignored it.

If the incentive is you'll pay off my bridge HELOC, AND help with the closing costs on the re-fi, you'll have my attention to your proposal.

I would feel bad about turning your ~$25K depreciating asset problem into a ~$75K debt-against-nothing-you-personally-would-own problem.

However, those are my terms, because I'm an asshole. . . and whatever your lease payment is, I can't swing that, nor the balloon when it's due.

Oh .

Actually.. my balloon at the end will be very decent. Based on s2000's that were selling when they were 3 years old, before the recession, was around $20ishk. My payoff is around $17ishk last time I checked so not too bad.

And I can't do swap-a-lease because Honda doesn't have the licensing to re-write leases . Not that I can't afford it, I'd just rather not .

Welcome to my world.

$17K on a depreciating asset versus an ongoing roll into an asset which (should, knock on wood) appreciate.

In keeping with the trend.. I wish I would have the "financial literacy" a year ago that i do now. I'm pinned for another 2 years, while the market continues to slum. IF ONLY I had $5k to invest, sit on for 2 years, buy a house (assuming I make a decent return on stocks), and rent it out.

But I was a dumbass a year ago.
