Tried scrubbing it with vinegar & it seemed to help remove a small portion but I think its too deep 
weird that it would rust around the plastic dispenser bowl thingie 
Also used my favorite Soft Scrub w / bleach that can pretty much turn anything white again!
If I detect ANY of it getting into the was then yeah I'll just have to cave & go get a new one

The washer body is made of metal. It sounds like it is rusting under the plastic dispenser bowl. Try making a paste out of baking soda and letting it for about an hour and then scrub it off with a nylon scrubber or brush. You may also be able to pop the plastic dispenser bowl out and clean under the dispenser.

Yeah but maybe some of those POOR PEOPLE actually NEED to leave then to make it up there on time
just weird seeing all the growth in the area & people well not weird but crazy

Actually there are STILL some untouched acres down near my 1st house near the old IBM
That orchard / field near where Frontier Village was is still there.
& yeah it was funny seeing Fairchild on the graph or pie chart at the Museum that too was in my back yard.
