I remember hearing somewhere that because of the speed considerations, they didn't want anybody getting a reinforced bumper or some-such and bogging it down.

All I know is that some kid in my high school got one for his 16th birthday. I had only a vague idea of what it was at the time.

 

Not a good car for a kid who just got his license IMO, 280 h.p. 350ftlb of torque and top heavy.

King Edward VII got a bit portly, but didn't get anything re-tailored, so he left the bottom button open. Since His Majesty did it, it became fashion.

 

So it's a sheep thing. I wonder if King Edward VII jumped off a bridge would everyone else due it.

 

If one were to commit suicide in the Edwardian age, one might poison oneself, discreetly, and to keep it tidy and understated, which marked the Edwardian period.
If King Edward had committed suicide by jumping off a bridge, then yes, it would be fashionable to commit suicide that way versus other ways. However, King Edward died of a series of heart attacks.
Kind Edward's penchant for, "smoking twenty cigarettes and twelve cigars a day," I'm sure had nothing to do with his passing.

There is nothing real about any of it.

 

They came up to the resort I live at a few years ago and stayed for the weekend. My friend Tim who is a ski instructor ended up on the show. They were hitting on him it was pretty funny.
