Well, considering all the parts I already have that would bolt right up to the 305, my natural choice is the 305, but for your application and based on your resources, the D16 would be the best bet.

The LS6 is marginally heavier than a D16... Well, it's lighter than that 305, at least.

It's all aluminum, Chaz. No iron.

I'm having the House of Speed do it for me. It's a very famous shop whose specialty is the Chevy LT/LS engines of late. They're doing all the redesigning and fabrication, as well as getting 100% sensor/gauge compatability, except the digital tach of course. I'm probably gonna go with a complete Z06 gauge cluster, or maybe even just a C5 cluster, which has, IMO, a tach and speedo that are much easier to read.

This should take a month or two, but I am hoping to get it done for Raptor's BBQ. If so, expect to see me July 11.

This I can't wait to see (and hear) a V8 S2000 running with the rest of them .... should be pretty easy to pick out from the crowd !!
