mine too... though more complex design... with transverse, though, we can have a smaller overall kart, central driving position, and as you mentioned, more centrally biased weight...
How bout instead of building this kart, buy one of mine. They're already built and ready to go.

No, actually, I don't. I have a Paul Tracy shifter with CR125 and front discs, another shifter with a YZ80, and a "normal" kart with a B/S 8hp alky. No need for any more 'traditional' go karts.
