I might suggest that Mitch skip getting another car and just buy a boat!!

You wouldn't even have to moor it someplace...just park it in the garage and wait for the water level to meet it!

BTW...the house my family has out at the coast used to be a similar purple to that house!

The wait is over... I walked and drove around for 4 hours tonight, and took pictures until my battery died. The water of the St Mary's rose about 18" to 24" (getting hard to tell), and the Maumee looked up about 18" as well.... Here they are (road mentioned primarily for Mitch's sake):

Some brave dudes fording the river on Bostick Rd

Was a corn field:

Water has crested over the top of this bridge (on Bostick Rd)

Brave dudes #2 tries to ford South Anthony Extension (made it)

"Lake Ferguson" - Ferguson Road on left, actual river is about 25' past the 5th telephone pole

Ya think?

No levee for this home:

Mother Nature 1, God 0 (no offense)

Broadway and Rudisill intersection - now underwater and closed. Was passable yesterday (see picture above)

Spy Run Ave bridge - losing clearance rapidly

St Mary's upstream from crosswalk (compare to yesterday's)

Turbulence under crosswalk

Pilings - now underwater (hard to see in last night pics...)

Water approaching The Fort

Some brave/stupid girls (they had waded out to the bottom of their shorts before I took this...)

Old RR bridge

An ENTIRE tree was hung up on the piling - it spanned all the way to the next piling, a good 30' over.

Glorious Fort Wayne downtown from the RR bridge above

For LESISMOR - Fort Wayne has mounties, too!

Baseball anyone?

A whole lot of water...

Great pics...scary situation. Does it flood this bad every year or is this more extreme than usual?
