The Crosswalk from the other side - I walked over this yesterday.
This insanely cool building is, of all things, our water filtration plant:
Columbia Ave Bridge (mislabeld in last nights post as Harrison) - Running out of room!
Tennessee Ave Bridge - Also running out of room!
The Summit building - FW's tallest building
Columbia Ave Bridge at night - slightly overexposed
Water filtration plant from across the river
yet another picture of the Columbia Ave Bridge (with Summit Building in background)
And finally - Blufton Road, my only direct road into downtown - no closed
Instead of taking me 10 minutes to get downtown, it'll take me about 25 now.

TJ - I'd lean towards brave, with a bit of apathy towards his vehicle. I wouldn't walk out there (I was tempted but there was nothing to brace against the current), but a truck would be fine. He couldn't go any further because his exhaust was only an inch or two above hte water.
Barney - This is one of the worst floods ever, based on the water gauges. However, the past floods have been devastating. The St Joe river has a very high levee along the entire length. The twilight pictures of the Water plant, Summit Building, and Columbia Ave bridge are taken from the path on top of this levee. The current water level is actually about 3' above the road level on the other side of the levee - without it, they'd be bailing water. Also, we're fortunate that the St Joe is not flooded as well - it flows in from the north and is actually below flood stage. So the damn about 5 miles upstream of the confluence is closed now, reducing the demand on the Maumee (which is the river created by the St Joe and St Mary's rivers).
I *almost* wish I was staying here this weekend, just to see things unfold... the rivers should crest friday or saturday, when the coolness factor is at the max. After that, it'll just be a big f'ing mess. Of course, if it keeps raining like it is, the rivers won't crest until monday or tuesday... Bonus! (of course, they'll be cresting above my house...
