I saw them setting the stage up when I walked through Times Square on the way to work in the morning and I asked them what they were setting up for but they said it was a secret. My company sells advertising time on several of the electronic billboards in Times Square so I asked one of the VPs what was going on and they told me. I could have gotten access to the VIP viewing area but it was raining out and I didn't feel like going plus I was working on our month end close. I was told that the total combined playing time for everyone was somewhere near an hour. In my opinion it wasn't going to be worth the hassle of the crowds for a short performance by the people that I would want to see. Thanks for the tip though!

You know it's funny, I have a friend who's been involved in a few significant urban cycling accidents and when the news first broke he thought it was strange the medical treatment didn't seem to match the description of what happened (even considering that Bono is aging ). Reading this, it's starting to make more sense!
Web server down...

What's the short story?

Run into a lamp post or something?

Basically it was minimized - the band's site said he had a "cycling spill" and it was reported he needed surgery, but was expected to make a quick recovery. The above article talked about a facial fracture, shoulder blade fracture, and some arm fracture that resulted in a bunch of metal plates and screws being put in. Apparently he's going to need "intensive and progressive therapy."

It happened on a street with no name.

Nice one!

That's cool you could find out beforehand, then decide whether or not you wanted to go. I assumed that you wouldn't even see my post in time anyway and that if you got the inside scoop it wouldn't have been from me.
