wickster, did you purchase the spring tool? they're pricey, and if i dont have access to all my dad's tools, i just run by AutoZone and they lend them out. they have almost anything you need

yes I bought it. $120 bucks for the overhead type from SnapOn. So I don't have to take the head off....... I can't use a Spoon gasket so no reason to remove the head...... yet.....
