we also had a GS-R that was faster around the track than my s2000.... at least, until it got blow'd up (faulty fuel lines)

colin, FWD does have an inherent disadvantage (understeer, torque steer, weight transfer, etc), but everything can be countered (to a certain extent)

anti-dive suspension geometry
high-viscous, low lock-up LSD
instantaneous throttle response (FI is not an option, except blower)
low polar moment of inertia
low center of gravity
short wheelbase
lock-up rear parking brake

FWD sucks..... but I'd overlook it for a car like this.... not for something like the S....

i would've thought you, wicky, of all people would appreciate an FWD track monster that could thoroughly embarrass a RWDer

granted, FWD does suck, but when an underpowered FWD can outrun a proper RWD, you gotta give it props

I'm not saying it isn't capable, I'm saying I don't like it. A camaro is faster than my car in a straight line, but i don't like it.

FWD isn't great, but it's not as bad as all of you say. I have a FWD Civic Si and it can out handle my RWD Toyota Tundra. And the Tundra has 80 more HP. Geez, some people just don't give FWD any credit.
