Yes. The Northridge quake really trashed LA and my neighborhood. The last Big Bear quake did $40,000 damage to the cabin we stayed in last weekend. The owners were there and thought they were going to die.

We have experienced a couple of quakes here that have caused minor damage, though (*touch wood*) nothing serious ...... but when the quakes go on for a long time (1 minute plus) then I start getting VERY worried
