As I think you know I love my iPod but I'm a little more confident with my Creative. It has a replaceable and the HD is standard and replaceable too... I've dissected the thing.

I'll have to figure out how to image the HD incase I need to replace it.

Did you pay with a cc? If you did - you might have an automatic doubling of the warranty.

I just had my logic board replaced on my 17" PowerBook - covered by AppleCare. AppleCare coverage has more than paid for itself now since they covered the logic board and have replaced a power adaptor.
