bean's got one, too... and I never had an issue hearing him through it... although I think he misplaced his now so we can't re-test

wired headset = bad
I usually inadvertently move my hand and get it caught in the wire and *pop* it comes right out of my ear
this usually happens with my iPod headphones while at the gym, as well
