Hehe. My sentiments exactly

I seriously was thinking about posting that, but decided not to try and analyze these people too much

I like the "where's the beef" lady chopped into the S2000. Now that is funny!

I just don't understand how those guys pride themselves on being intelligent and knowing stuff about cars but have such a superficial analysis in their comparison. Grant it, it is a porsche and it may have a higher resale value but it's not a purist's sports car (if that's what you're looking for). The Boxter is more luxurious/cushy (if that's what you're looking for). The boxter weighs 400 lbs MORE than an s2000 (not a little more like they claimed). The S2000 is a driver's car. The Boxter is a LUXURY sports car (helps explain price). I just wish those guys were more qualitative in their analysis rather than just basing their opinions on the 'name' of the car.

Not a whole lot more in resale... how about a $32K going for 28K after 2-3 years. Not bad I'd say.

I do like the Boxster, and especially the Boxster S, but I would have serious problems convincing myself to spend that much more for a car that doesn't really perform noticably better ......

I would never rag out the Boxster, it is a great car, but how do people justify the price difference if they say that they are buying for the driving experience??

My thought exactly James.

Boxster S sells for about $150,000 here.

I was hunting for a 2nd hand Boxster before I came across the S2000. Great cars IMO.

WTF ???????

that is like 50,000 quid isn't it ?????

I thought that the UK was bad .... a friend had a fully loaded Boxster S on order in the UK, every single option, and that was 46,000 ! I didn't think anywhere was as expensive as the UK for cars !!!

Thats about right yeah.

I would hate to see how much a fully loaded Boxster S would be here. Standard boxster is about $120,000 new.

I gave up looking for 2nd hand ones as they are all still around $90 and the servicing cost is ridiculous.

I paid just under Y3 million for the S under a year old ...... I was looking at Y4.5 million for a 2.5 or 2.7 Boxster S about 3 years old ...... I couldn't even find a right hand drive Boxster S for sale anywhere, but am sure that I would have been looking at about Y6 million for that !!!!

It's pretty similar here.

I paid AUD $75,000 for my S at the beginning of this year and the standard Boxster's (not the 'S') at 3 years old were all about AUD $90,000.

I would still, one day, love to get the boxster s.
