Boxter or S2000??
IMHO, this is a very easy question to answer. Not to dis Jason Saini, Andrew, or Joe, who are all excellent drivers, but GH Sharp is just as fast. If the Boxster was better, GH would be the BS National Champion. But he's not, and that's all that needs to be said. Great drivers, same course, S2000 wins. End of story.
Extremely well put Martin.
BTW... Is the Boxter S allowed in that category?
Peter... If I could get over my *need* for a ragtop I might consider looking at the new Nissan Z. Could be the big new challenge.

Currently the Boxster S is in Super Stock, against the Z06, where it gets it butt whipped. I am pretty sure it will get moved down to A Stock next year. There is also some, though slight, discussion of moving us up to AS, as well. Which would suck for me, because the regular C5 'Vette runs in AS and is consistently just a tick quicker.
Martin,
It's nice to hear a dyed-in-the-wool racer such as yourself reaffirming the S's dominance. Personally, I've never really cared about the bragging rights stuff, but it's good to know where we stand when the testosterone starts to flow around us.
What I find interesting is that despite a huge, rave review for the S in '99/'00, the car rags usually forget to mention the S these days when they talk about the competition. I'll attribute that to the fact that Honda doesn't advertise the car at all and that little has changed since the car's introduction.
I can only say, as I have in some of the other "fora," that I couldn't love this car more. For me, getting this car at this point in my life was a godsend.
If the Porsche guys out there want to talk down the S, I can only assume they haven't driven it and surely haven't been seen in it! In "exclusivity factor," the S blows away the Boxster out here.

Now that's some good thinkin', Peter!

Saw a new Z last week in a restaurant parking lot. Not bad! The car definitely has character.
I'm on the same page as you guys though... I wonder if they'll make a convertible out of it eventually. I hope Nissan does very well with it.

Where's the spew smilie when I need it. IMHO, the new Z looks like crap! In fact, it looks like they just copied a TT and put a hatchback on it. One parks in our lot, and I've seen a number of others on the road, so I get to peak at it on a regular basis. Not me, not ever

see you then .... have a good week, and don't work too hard !!!
