I had the top down this morning 38 degrees in a light drizzle. I took advantage of the cold weather by applying some liberal doses of throttle around some corners. My coming close to worn out rear s02's helped too!

I love rotary engines! I've built a number of racing rx-7's, including the one that was Scott Pruett's first non-kart race car 
There are a number of VERY fast miata's with rotaries in them in D Mod (I think - maybe EM) though the fastest of the bunch got beat by a wicked cool Bugeye with a 3-rotor 
engine at the Nats!
