brants miata revealed! :eek:
Hmmmm...I'd probably go with mild tune since it would be a street toy as much as anything.
As for spec miata...even if I built a spec car I would keep it totally street legal rather than going all out to be competitive. I just want a fun toy that I can play with on the street or track...

I'm thinking...I'm thinking... (and we all know how long THAT can take...
)
Rotary sounds like an unusual and entertaining option. My biggest concern is not living with the car, but building it.
I also need to sell my other two cars and get a daily driver if I'm gonna do something like this.

I love the smell of pre-mix in the morning; it smells like VICTORY!
Keep good oil in the rotary, watch the ignition timing carefully, and replace apex seals regularly, it'll run forever. Oh, and make sure the oil injectors are always working correctly (instant meltdown)

At present my two concerns are crossmembers that need to be redesigned and getting the
ming tranny to fit since the output is dead center in the engine...
Good advice on maintaining the engine once it's in there.
I have to admit that just shoving a V8 in the car for giggles sounds easier, but the rotary would definitely be fun.

I was going to do some research for you, but the damn SCCA site is down. I'm sure you can get the tranny to fit - the tunnel isn't that high in an RX7. This should be an easy fit
