That said @sam_spider you would, in fact recommend a PDK? I only ask, as people 'round here are fanatical about a rower, and I am, at some point, wanting to get the most Porsche with my meager monies.
Now, if I had gone for a first gen 911 it would most definitely be a manual. 911’s after 2012 and it would need to be pdk, unless it’s got a “gt” nomenclature.
I rented a couple 911’s from enterprise before buying, that really helped me make up my mind far better than a 20-30 minute test drive.
I will say the seat options are
I was used to the Ram levers and the Mini's crank up handle ( which I'm NOT KNOCKING ) just nice to just push an electric lever button & theres 3 driver settings too.We plan to take her over the P Dealership for a lil look see what she may need in the future and or how to do stuff

The guy we bought from knew I had previously owned one & thought I'd know more about it than him

Also the steering wheel able to move ^ & v in n out is helpful for one driver thats 6' and one thats 5' 1"
There is something about a manual that in a good car makes it more engaging, but not always enjoyable. The pdk is really something, it can be as benign as any other automatic car, or by pressing a button or two turns it into something else. Driving the 911 in anger (in sport mode) the pdk knows exactly what to do and when to do it. It is intuitive and is very engaging. I don’t regret not opting for the manual in mine at all.

Tanks
well you should do what Spider did go rent one or just test drive. C-6 isn't exactly small
I will say he did not enjoy driving or riding in the TR6 not enough room
I agree with Spider renting is a great idea but not too many options around here but I would consider it worth my time and money to travel to find one to rent but would try a test drive first cause that's free and take it from there.
