That said @sam_spider you would, in fact recommend a PDK? I only ask, as people 'round here are fanatical about a rower, and I am, at some point, wanting to get the most Porsche with my meager monies.

There is something about a manual that in a good car makes it more engaging, but not always enjoyable. The pdk is really something, it can be as benign as any other automatic car, or by pressing a button or two turns it into something else. Driving the 911 in anger (in sport mode) the pdk knows exactly what to do and when to do it. It is intuitive and is very engaging. I don’t regret not opting for the manual in mine at all.

Now, if I had gone for a first gen 911 it would most definitely be a manual. 911’s after 2012 and it would need to be pdk, unless it’s got a “gt” nomenclature.

I rented a couple 911’s from enterprise before buying, that really helped me make up my mind far better than a 20-30 minute test drive.

I will say the seat options are I was used to the Ram levers and the Mini's crank up handle ( which I'm NOT KNOCKING ) just nice to just push an electric lever button & theres 3 driver settings too.

We plan to take her over the P Dealership for a lil look see what she may need in the future and or how to do stuff
The guy we bought from knew I had previously owned one & thought I'd know more about it than him

Also the steering wheel able to move ^ & v in n out is helpful for one driver thats 6' and one thats 5' 1"

I was wondering how cramped it was inside. I really like that interior, was thinking I should check one out for myself but I'm not a small dude.

It's weird some small cars I fit relatively comfortable in and some not, even some bigger cars. I had a mg midget that I fit fine in but some others it's not happening. I can't even get my feet in a Pantera I have tried twice. My Dad has a pimpin' 99 lincoln town car and everytime I get in it I'm trying to get the seat to go farther back, same thing with early 2000 mustangs but I have had 5 fox bodies that I had plenty of room in.
I agree with Spider renting is a great idea but not too many options around here but I would consider it worth my time and money to travel to find one to rent but would try a test drive first cause that's free and take it from there.

I've driven a bunch of different variations of air cooled 911's but never any water cooled cars. Never driving anything with a PDK either, wouldn't rule it out without trying it first.
