So, James, what were you reading for? Maybe the problem is that you've already learned everything and therefore you're going to spend the rest of your life forgetting things...

Robbie, no need to knock. Casa Chazmo has an open door policy.
Charlie ... I am now 3/4 of the way to being a Chartered Arbitrator ... don't know if you have them in the US, but it is something similar to being a judge in some ways .... people who have a dispute in a contract employ you to listen to the arguments of the two parties, weigh up the evidence that they put to you in terms of legal weight, and then you make a ruling as to who owes who what. This is prefered in the UK to going to court because arbitration is private, and the court is public.

Many companies want their disputes settled without anyone else knowing what the outcome is ... and the pay as an arbitrator is HUGE if you can get a good reputation for being balanced and fair in your rulings !!

Congrats, James!
Thanks Billy

It is funny, but I have such a good feeling about having passed this course ... school exams and my degree were really things that I almost had to do .... this is the first course that I have taken that I did because I wanted to, and it has given me a lot of satisfaction to complete it

Very cool. We do have arbitrators in the US, maybe their exact function is a little different. A lot of people are starting to use them in a divorce case, because the arbitrators tend to be a little more fair than the courts - and usually cheaper too.

^ Someone's gotta' finance the purchase of a small island for Cornerville. Given the way my company's going nowhere in a hurry, it ain't gonna' be me.

You go, James-san!
